Supporting You With Breastfeeding, Antenatal Education & Infant Care
Here for you
I hope you find the support you're seeking here. Below, explore how I can assist your family with various challenges. I'd love to help you too, so please don't hesitate to book an appointment or get in touch.
Breastfeeding & Lactation Support
Whether you're navigating the early stages of breastfeeding or facing unexpected challenges along the way, know that you're not alone. As a mother myself, I understand the highs and lows that come with nurturing your little one. No matter what you're experiencing, I'm here to offer support, guidance, and practical solutions tailored to your unique journey. Some of the areas I can support you with:
Difficult/painful latch, breast refusal
Assessment of tongue tie concerns (NB I do not release tongue ties myself)
Poor weight gain
Actual or perceived low milk supply
Hyperlactation (infant symptoms: high weight gain, green/frothy poo, unsettled infant)
Mastitis/recurrent mastitis
Mixed feeding/triple feeding, paced bottle feeding and getting off the triple feeding train
Milk expression using hand/electric pumps or hand expression
Exclusive pumping, bottle feeding, mixed feeding, formula feeding
Back to work/pumping planning and milk storage advice
Extended breastfeeding (1-2 years and beyond)
Antenatal Breastfeeding Education
While breastfeeding is a natural process, it often feels anything but natural in the beginning. It takes time, understanding, and patience to get it right. However, with preparation and education before birth, the journey can become much smoother for both you and your partner. I can share knowledge, expertise and experience with you to cover:
Antenatal breastfeeding education (usually around 30 weeks but flexible)
Including antenatal hand expression from 36/37 weeks
Sleep and Settling and Infant Care Support
As a new mother, the feelings of love and responsibility you feel for your baby are immense. Getting to know your little one is a journey filled with discovery, trial, and lots of questions. Even if you’ve been through this before, every baby is unique, and what works for one may not work for another. Rest assured, I'm here to provide guidance and support every step of the way with support covering:
Antenatal ‘what to expect’ and postnatal normal newborn behaviour education
Sleep and settling/parenting support
Unsettled babies
Sleep including safe bed-sharing
Education on normal development
Weaning education
